Builder / Luthier
Edgar Mönch was a German classical guitar maker who emigrated to Canada in the 1960s and settled in Toronto. He is remembered in North American lutherie chiefly as a bridge between European classical guitar making practice and the Canadian builders who followed him, most directly through Jean Larrivée, who studied with him in Toronto before starting his own shop.
